Gov. LEE is holding a olive branch. We need some checks and some laws concerning firearms. I know every one will cry "shall not be infringed" but the 2nd also says "well regulated" We cannot take away rights like hawaii california newyork and many other places. Many people will cry "if guns outlawed only outlaws have guns" Maybe so but lets make it a little harder for unstable and the lawless to obtain a firearm.
As long as it only applies to specific members of the alphabet group, I'm okay with it.

Just bought another AR15 here in Washington State from an online retailer. We have a 10 business day waiting period but the local FFL is not allowed to start the 10 days until the gun is in their possession. So it took almost 30 days from time of purchase. I'm ALL about cooling off period but be careful what you allow in the fine print of the new laws!
If we are bring honest….ITS THE GOP WHO HAS BEEN ABSENT… write the right law and we can forget about who has been absent since Columbine.

A background check does nothing to stop someone from getting a gun!!!! Why not a Red flag law? why not a 3 day waiting period?

MEANINGLESS – unless you ban the sale of military weapons of war. The founding fathers NEVER put the 2nd amendment in the constitution which would provide TO ANYONE a weapon at any time. HYPOCRITES
It is more than nothing. But we should go further. Our constitutional rights don't include arbitrary assault weapons.
