The 7th day of the week is the SABBATH not the 1st day of the week! There’s no Scriptures in the Bible that says to worship on sunday!

Welp, guess it's time to find a religion. Or better yet, found a religion. That way I can have all the justification and all the rewards too!
So to clarify, is this carve out going to be for ALL religions or just certain ones? I mean, if we are just going by the designation 501(c)(3), we know just about any entity can get one of those. Hell, the IRS doesn't even follow its own established rules when issuing them. Really, "…[the organization's] net earnings may not inure to any private shareholder or individual"? ✢ Or how about "…must not provide a substantial benefit to private interests"? ✢ Pretty sure Joel Osteen's lavish estate and Kenneth Copeland's Bentley and Gulfstream prove my point. And then we have my personal favorite, "…must not devote a substantial part of their activities to attempting to influence legislation"? ✢ REALLY?! So we are just ignoring the hot mic moment from Liberty Counsel's Peg Nienaber bragging that she has prayer with the justices INSIDE the Supreme Court?? ✽ But I digress.
The ruling that is coming down the pike in June will go nowhere good. It will happen like this: (spoiler alert) it will favor this postal work in vague, undefined ways, opening a path for a slew of cases that are designed to exploit this newly formed void by people who DO NOT have his or yours or my interests even on their radar, let alone at heart. This will lead to further rolling back of democratic rights, further plunging the US back toward a moment when the wealthy held ALL the power, and us common folk (Mr postal worker–their poster child, included) have no say and are mere instruments of labor capital, even more than we already are today.
Look, I'm not against Mr. Postal Worker getting a day off, in fact, I think he should have MORE days off. More days off is a good thing, as recent studies have shown! The largest of which, in Britain, just concluded and 61 of the companies will continue on with 4-day work weeks indefinitely, having reported a net GAIN in revenue and an overwhelming increase in work/life balance and satisfaction among the employees.† So by all means, YES bring on the days off! But religion is NOT the proper vehicle with which to do it. What most Christians and Christian Nationalists seem to not know, or more likely, choose to ignore, is that the United States of America was NOT founded to be a "Christian nation" it was not conceived to be a holly land for doing work for their version of God. It was exactly the OPPOSITE of that. From its inception, The United States was designed to be a place where one could enjoy freedom from religion as well as of religion. Those of us who are not Christian or who don't believe in God have every right to be and do so. Those who are interested in seeing this case go to the Supreme Court are about as interested in Mr. Postal Worker's right to worship as he sees fit, as Mr Putin is in providing reparations to Ukraine. Interest that has a grand total of exactly ZERO!
Worship God on your days off, worship him all day, every day. Even worship your non-automatic guns! Worship Satan for all I care. But please don't allow yourself and your personal theology to be commandeered by forces that you ostensibly stand opposed to. Pretty sure, if there is a God, no matter the version, he wouldn't want his name plastered all over movements that seek to limit the rights of others. And certainly no human should want that either.
And an aside, we shouldn't even be having this discussion, the REAL issue is the driving force behind it. Rather than asking whether or not Mr. Postal Worker should have Sundays off to do whatever he wants, we should be asking, where is the line we will draw for corporations to do whatever they want, to whomever they want, when they want. They are who should be on the court docket, not if an affiliation to one group affords one more privileges than it does to others who aren't.

When I was a kid our entire town was shut down on Sunday. One gas station was open mom got her mints before church. Nothing was open 24hrs . I miss those days

Funny thing, the "sabbath" as very clearly defined in the bible is Saturday, the 7th day of the week – technically sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. No biblical reference to that being changed. Most Christian denominations got that wrong – makes you wonder what else they got wrong and who suffered because of it.

I belong to the Church of The Eternal Day-Off so I'm always observing and most of the time I'm cleansing my spirit by drinking a lot of beer so won't need any more additional special accomodation then for the post office out-source the entire operation it's nothing more than a pathetic money losing cruel hoax on the taxpayer has never made a nickel no one needs "mail" more than three days a week anyway and is being abused for last mile delivery by online retailers as it is ridiculous
Is never an employees responsibility for disability or faith accommodations, the working with less to avoid accommodations should be illegal.

Try limiting hours to work weekly? Say 6 day work week fir all employees, I believe there are limited hours daily law. 60 hrs a week seems rational maximum. DON'T YOU HAVE A UNION??

The Sunday is not the Lord's day, according to the bible, the Lord's day (Saturday) which is called in the bible Sabbath, Genesis 1:1-31; 2:1-3, & Exodus 20:8-11, Mark 2:27. Jesus kept the Sabbath whole he was on earth and his disciples kept it after he left this earth.

The only thing I can say in favor is grandfathered in. That doesn’t mean same pay, fewer hours. Grandfathered is an accommodation that slave drivers like the private sector has no regard for. Other than that, new hires, this is the deal. Amazon burns through their Human Resources without regard for their humanity. This off with their heads approach needs to be quelled and union busting activity needs to be hit with penalty that hurts trillion dollar private corporate government oligarchies. The people have a written right to assemble.
The postal service abused their workers, over Amazon ! Not usually their unionized workers! It was their “ “ temporary workers 6 days and 10-12 hour days! None of that Covid-19 income for the hard working! Then the fact they couldn’t find people with work ethic to work as slaves for years to get permanent employment. Sooo the temps get even more work!
