China says the US is "Playing with fire"? I won't comment on geopolitical debatable points however, this point is not debatable, Militarily, the USA is the 'fire'!
China reveals its hand as an amateur by making grandiose threats to the most militarily powerful nation, by far. If war broke out, the end result would be devastating for most nations involved however, mostly China.
China would only have itself to blame for this strategically annihilating folly.

Then placing military air strips on them….also expanding their buffer zone, to configure the trade zones, and claims to international waterway rights ! Totally changing the life long fishing fleets of the Philippines, and restricting fishing in this space ! Would that be something that the UN, should mediate. I surely hope the Biden administration does not renig on its obligation to produce weapons that were already paid for by Taiwan.
