Ppl believe that if you post no trespassing signs up in their driveways then that gives them right to start shooting first indiscriminately. I can tell you this from where I live, if you trespass then you will get shot at in rural VA, especially because ppl are so paranoid, or are doing illegal activities on their property, which they are afraid someone is coming to steal from them.
Some people are just idiots, this guy was not threatened, and fires a gun at people. This guy has no sense. He only cares about himself.

This is just so sad and shocking… rest in peace… Being 20 myself, I can’t imagine my life being taken away by someone who’s trigger happy. This really is heartbreaking. I’ve pulled into a wrong driveway only a few times, never in a million years would I think someone would come out blasting though. A simple “State who you are!” From the homeowner while practicing good trigger discipline, and he most likely would’ve received an apology for the confusion and intrusion. Being killed over an honest and common mistake… Someone needs to be held accountable.

Can you imagine if someone had been lost in the woods or injured in a car accident and limped towards this guy's house looking for help, only to be shot instead?

I'd like to see how both trails will turn out. Considering that the crimes are exactly the same. Mr Yarl and now this Ms Gillis. Both offenders Yt but one viticm and innocent young lady ( 20Y ). The other a promising young Blk boy (16Y). I'm not trying to be funny. Although, I'm very curious to see the outcome of both cases. Same crime and each guy my end up with different time. Watching👀🤔
