AI is exposing a lot of occupations as bs.
The future could well be "metaverse" style "virtual" worlds, "virtual" friends, "virtual" actors and models, "virtual" non-fungible token artwork and other material possessions, and the list goes on. New iterations of ChatGPT could take the place of in-person teachers as "virtual" teachers. "Virtual" grocery stores would be accessible in "virtual" metaverses. I recall an episode of Matt Groening's "Futurama," where robots takeover in the future and a young man spends his entire day in a bedroom making out with a female android; while this was meant to be just cartoonish comedy, it could well be the future. Humans could start living like underground moles and have no incentive to leave their virtualized silos; the future is looking bright.
😢 more jobs being lost to ai. There is something to be said about having an in person event. The energy in the room. And also it makes beauty standards even more unobtainable.
