Supreme Court shouldn’t have broken ’50 years of precedent’ with Dobbs, says Sununu

During an exclusive interview with Meet the Press, Gov. Chris Sununu (R-N.H.) says the Supreme Court shouldn’t have broken “50 years of precedent” when it overturned Roe and encourages his party to “get back to” local and limited government.

  1. Independents, "real" independents don't play the authoritarianism the GOP is offering. Never have. Never will.

  2. Republicans are against freedom. They think we all should be prisoners to their version of Christianity. Not going to happen. I’m tired of it.

  3. Why not? They broke 75 years of precedent with the "Emancipation Proclamation".

  4. Uh, nope Nope NOPE – – Reproductive Rights should not be a State issue. Are you crazy ??? More than 50% of the population are women and 49% of men are trying to control them. Stop it !!! All US citizens should have the same medical rights nationwide !!!

  5. Republicans: Limited government but total control of people's lives.

  6. When you allow corrupt people like Clarence Thomas, who was helped onto the bench by Joe Biden, on the SCOTUS this is what you get.

  7. it was a 7-2 conservative majority Supreme Court that legalized ABORTION in 1973

it is a 6-3 conservative majority Supreme Court that keeps ABORTION legal today

will conservatives ever quit murdering children

the 50 year history of conservatives murdering children says NO

  8. We should amend the constitution to have SCOTUS justice face referendums as a vote of confidence/no confidence with every presidential election. A two thirds majority of ballots with a no confidence vote once, or two consecutive and maybe three (over any length of time) simple majority votes against one and that one is gone. (Suggesting some guidelines here, but whatever people could get behind) Honestly, if they are to be the voice/interpreters of the Constitution of this nation, they should be representative of the conscience of this nation, so the people of this nation should be allowed to weed out those that don't represent them, at least if representative government is the objective here.

  9. See retardicants just straight make things up about the way they really feel. If a republican told me it was Caitlin I would still believe it bruce

  10. There is absolutely nothing to salvage from the gop. Let it die finally.

  11. Abortion is every woman's choice across the majority of the world.

Republicans are like Taliban men dictating what subjugated women should do. Land of freedom?

The US constitution has been amended 27 times and is the reason they are called amendments.

"Keep the government out of our lady bits." N.Duz

  12. Donald Trump was probably paid by evangelicals to put those 3 judges on the supreme Court. Our whole system is broken. We need 5 parties for it to be fair

  13. You don’t get to move forward without taking ownership of what you’ve done. You can not talk about it all you want we will still hang it on you

  14. Their own stubborn supporters are gonna end them. They feel a right to have their way dictated upon every one even though they are the small minority. Then they make themselves believe that they are the majority. It’s insane 😂

  15. Owning slaves was once precedent. Women not being able to vote was once precedent. Democrats sure get upset when precedence gets upturned.

  16. If Sununu gets more than 1% of the GOP primary vote i would be surprised. The guy is really a democrat and not even a good one

  17. Abortion should have never been set as precedent in the first place, it was an unfortunate result of a degenerate feminist movement that never should have been given any traction whatsoever…!!!

  18. 68% 0f republicans is only 7% of the population.
    VOTING IS IMPORTANT
    💙 VOTE 💙

  19. Your party is over. Pretending that you can turn around what your party has done is laughable. Flipping precedent and destroying the meaning or the word for every single law to pacify a crazy and radical group in your party was enough. The only way the GOP can win is by voter suppression.

  20. There is no need to convince any one else the country’s majority is in favor of a legal path to abortion. The only convincing needed is to make people understand it to be a nonpartisan issue. The partisan divide plays into the politicking of the dogmatic minority within the party that holds it hostage to an ideology even the majority of the republicans and the libertarians reject. Make it a straight up issue just like gun control is a straight majority issue with bipartisan support across the nation but being held over the head of the general party by ideologues! We make It unnecessarily complex and difficult to get anything done in detriment of a true democratic process yielding the power of the majority to a boisterous minority. How does that make us a paragon of Democracy.

  21. Moving on is great. I have a ton to offer. They know that. They struck me as the ones who don’t bask in my victimhood.

  22. I agree with the republicans when they suggest that my kid ought to be allowed to be baptized and that my religion/godparents should not have been politicized.

  23. I share republicans concerns about how my time was spent doing anything with abortion one way or another. Bc i haven’t had choice in a decade. Not great.

  24. Abortion should be entirely legal and taxpayer funded so long as the host is also terminated in the “medical procedure”

  25. In other words, Sununu completely understands that abortion will be a huge talking point of 2024 elections, and believes that his own personal words will brainwash everybody into believing it isn't really an issue.

  26. HE IS DELUSIONAL, his maga base not buying that BS. Not that simple son!

  27. The Supreme Court just proved it is partial and therefore illegitimate

  28. Talking about trying to have it both ways. Even weasels were embarrassed by this segment.

  29. I dont see way they have to turn this into a legal process. If a woman wants to make this her choice thats up to her not a bunch of men sitting around making laws. But there is no reason for those woman that believe in haven't children cant . Its a choice, so let it be a choice. Not a law.

  30. "it's a state issue" "i don't think 50 years of precedent should be broken" it's not a state issue if 50 years of precedent wasn't broken. It can't be both

  31. Abortion on demand.
    No Questions Asked.
    Republicans opinions simply don’t matter.
