Racing should have been banned so long ago. It’s so obvious they are using drugs and other bad things on the horses like come in 2 horses just dropping dead! Not to even mention that they over breed the horses for the next “big star.” And how they start training the horses when they are literally so young! At my barn we don’t break them till they are 4 cause of the high risk of the bones breaking which is one of the biggest reasons all these horses die! #stopkentuckyderby
Ive loved horses all my lifeand watched the Derby many times. The count of dead horses is now 9. I have heard some of them were put fown cuz of severe injuries. Let me guess. . . due probably to training and letting them race as 2 year olds. This has been a problem for some time now and it seriously needs to be addressed by all involved, trainers jockeys, breeders and the Jockey Club. 2 year olds are baby horses that are still growing and developing and shouldnt be stressed like this at this age! Study what happened to Secretariat, I rest my case! Any vet worth his salt will tell you the same thing!😢

It happens a broken leg , bruised leg all kinds of stuff ,not surprising,hell athlete's have ran down the court or Field have died , nothing bit the woke making their way to the race teack .
6 Horses are now Dead… 5 horses have been scratched…Forte has now been scratched. This has turned into a Nightmare. They are down to 18 horses, too much $$$ involved to suspend the race, but this will put another nail in the coffin for horse racing in the US.

If it were up to me, I would have banned horse races a long time ago. There is no telling what kind of abuse these animals go through and what drugs they get pumped full of for the sake of gambling. THAT is what is unacceptable.
Four horses dead? It is on par visiting Louisville. Horses or people.
Horse racing is an archaic, barbaric “sport” that nobody cares about anymore and needs to go. Casinos have pretty much put racetracks out of business and the ones that do still exist rely on slot machines to make a profit. Scrap it completely.
