Good guys with ai vs bad guys with ai. He knows full well that is not the main concern of scientists like Geoffrey Hinton. Ai itself could be the bad guy once it gets smarter than us.

Gates says it's American Innovation that got us here. I'm not sure that's completely true. Most of the current AI technology came out of the University of Toronto computer science department headed by Geoffrey Hinton. Sounds more like Canadian Innovation done with Immigrants of course.
