  1. A twenty year-old is not a "boy!" You make it sound like they served a ten year-old.

  2. I swear parents will always find a way to blame the system or blame something else besides the fact that your children choose as an adult! He's 20 years old not two years old! 😂 He knew he wasn't supposed to be there, he decided to go that is his fault! … Accountability!

  3. An 'underage boy' at 20? No.. this grown man clearly had a drinking problem…

  4. White people are so funny

  5. I was expecting a 15 yr old. He’s a collage student and 20 yrs old?!!!

  6. Thats fked leave the bar out of it. What if someone develops a brand new world changing invention while inside said bar drinking their beer. The bar should then be rewarded hansomly with this logic imo.

  7. Interesting how they are calling this white 20yr old an underage "boy" lol. Yet they call 12yr old black children young man.

  8. A 20 year old got drunk and then died from 2 decisions he made. When does personal responsibility come into play? He was 20 years old, not 16. The mother knew, yet all she did was make call…

  9. There are people that die everyday after being served at a bar.

  10. Here in Australia you can drink when you turn 18. What's wrong with you Americans?! 😂

  11. So 20 is too young to be held responsible for his own actions yet if he wanted an AR-15, no problem! Here’s your weapon. Good’ol American Freedom.

  12. Well theirs 2 thing pro charging bar, the patent called the bar & told them he was underage. It's the law. Stupid fg law, but law, nonetheless

Con charging bar the kid had a drinking problem & if the bar didn't serve him, he would get it else where.

Im with a few others on here, ppl need to start taking responsibility for their actions.

  13. Used to walk in -20 from bar to bar in MN, I never died.

  14. Always trying to pin responsibility on someone else. 20 is more than old enough to be responsible as an adult. Lots of people get wasted drunk every day, with or without a bar serving them, and they don't wander off alone and collapse.
He was drinking to far excess all alone, and made no attempt to get help when he could have. Yes the bar should be fined for serving to 'underaged patron (20)'…but to say they are responsible for his own actions is ridiculous.
We are going to get to the point where bartenders will be pulling out a breathalyzer when you ask for a drink if they think you are tipsy already, because they are afraid to get sued or charged for whatever you do.

  15. 20 years old is not a "boy". Thats a geown man who made a tragically bad choice.

  16. Don’t drink and walk..

  17. Well no one told him to get drunk at a bar.20 years old is old enough to know what you are doing.

  18. Used to be 18 legal age , it’s this guy’s actions that did him in !!

  19. this headline is very misleading. he’s a man, not a boy. too young to drink of course, but he’s not a child.

  20. The bar is on the hook, especially since the mother warned the bar that the boy was underage and had been getting drunk there.

  21. But remember republicans think 10-12 year olds girls should carry a baby and be married

  22. Drinking age should be 18 like everywhere else

  23. He was the one drinking, you consume it, you pay the price…. period!!

  24. I woulda took his business if I was his parents or family

  25. Since when did we call a 20 year old a “boy” in the news? He wasn’t eight.

  26. That's no boy but a man who made his own decision. Yes, the bar should get some sort of punishment for serving underage people but the university student (not a boy) is responsible for hos own actions. Reading the title i thought it was a 15 year old kid…

  27. If the bar owner goes to jail , you need to put the parents in jail as well .

  28. This exact thing happened to my great grandfather in the 1920’s, although he wasn’t underage. They found him in a snow pile days later when the snow began to melt.

  29. A 20 yr old male is NOT considered a boy!! Just the family wants to blame someone and get money!! I mean seriously teens do drink and it is not shocking!!

  30. Most of the world you can drink from 18. Sad for what happened but he did this to himself

  31. Curious. When was the last time a parent successfully sued and won against a college frat hazing leading to death?! No don’t hold universities accountable, just the small bar owner.

  32. this man was 20 years old had his birthday been a couple months earlier this would not have been an issue. Do not try to find a scapegoat when the person at fault is the person to drink, it's not the restaurants fault he did not have enough common sense to call Uber or get a ride and walk and three extra months of life would not have change that so maybe if you're looking to bring someone it's the parents who never taught their kid that when you drink this is what you should and shouldn't not do because every person who is reading this has had a drink before the 21 good day

  33. Wen r ppl gunna take responsibility for they own problems

  34. US laws are just hilarious. Kids are trialed as an adult, grown men are suddenly underage boys.

  35. 20 years old. How did any of us make it past 20? The drinking age WAS 18 or 19 per state law and it was common to see 16 year olds at the bar. Keg parties; guys would bring their little brothers, 14 years old at a kegger was not unusual.

  36. It’s ridicules, So next are they gonna charge the beer manufacturers & transportation companies too in their role?

  37. Considering the bar was legally informed weeks prior, and acknowledged their fault, and the kid is mentioned by name to them, and it wasn't the first time he was served there illegally…I'd say they are going to jail for short stay and fine.

  38. SO you want to close down a bar for serving alcohol – but not the gun store

  39. Tragic no doubt. But hows his death the bars fault? A He left the bar alive, B he knew he wasn’t legal age to drink but chose to do it anyway. So He should take most if not all of the responsibility. The only responsibility the bar might have is it failed to check his ID but it could be due to the bartender or waiters might being too busy just assumed other party have checked it already.

  40. I think he was probably charged because he knew his bar had a reputation for not checking ID and did nothing about it. It would be hard to prove that was intentional, but I can't see how it could not be.

  41. But he was the one who decided to drink at the end of the day so he himself is to blame (all legal bs aside)

  42. I guess no more id check these days now or that it is fake id anyway. Time to adjust the law on age now.

  43. That bar lucked out. If the deceased was a woman or a black person…

  44. His OWN STUPID FAULT, didn't know his limit.

  45. He knew what he was doing
