WOW, I'm a 73 year old American, Granny of 11, and I remember getting up and watching every Royal event for the last 50 years, and I'm always moved emotionally…this was no different…when they came to the anointing, I honestly was moved to tears.
I think the entire ceremony was really well done, and although he doesn't really do anything politically, The Royal family will always be there. I don't see the monarchy going away anytime soon, and I think William will be mature enough (and his children grown), with he and Katherine being in the perfect mindset, mental acuity and energy, to step into his fathers shoes.
Makes me glad that God wanted William and Harry to come through Diana, and not Camilla, because now there's an injection of new blood genes!! Charles and Camilla are already too closely related (in my opinion).
And yes, as mentioned. the pageantry DOES look like something out of a movie (well, maybe because we've made so many movies in color, that it was sort of like watching one), but to be honest look at how many people were involved In this historical event, and the choir was absolutely amazing – I loved the way they showed all different kinds of camera angles so we could see evert nook and cranny!!
Prince William and his family, were SO STUNNINGLY REGAL, I was throughly impressed!!
I also found the irony of how, privacy seeking Harry's face, was hidden behind Princess Anne's feather LOL!! I think Nutmeg must've gone ballistic watching it on her giant TV!!
I wish ABC would just shut up and let the different parts of the ceremony have their dignity

Idiots talking over the entire thing. This piece of music was created for such moments and they're talking over all of it. Just shut up for 5 minutes. Proud to be British the choir was awesome and proud of our King. He's waited a very long time and the ceremony was yet again flawless.

It’s absolutely baffling how many overseas tv stations allowed their staff to talk over this part. It’s literally the most important & significant moment of the whole Coronation. It’s one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written.

The commentary ruined it. Would have been nice to hear "Zadok The Priest" in its entirety then they could have summarized what occurred during the anointing afterward.
