Friday’s planned meeting between President Biden and top congressional leaders on the debt ceiling has been postponed, NBC News Chief White House Correspondent Peter Alexander reports. A source familiar says this is a “positive development” and the staff are continuing to meet.

Postpone it forever and we live within our means. 5 TRILLION$ is enough. Federal government revenue in the first half of this fiscal year is 36% higher than 4 years ago. That is 1/2 TRILLION$ more. Yellen, Biden, and Democrats might "meltdown" but there is enough money. The spending problem? During the first half of this fiscal year . . . 1.1 TRILLION of unfunded spending and new DEBT added to the American people's lap. The outcome? Inflation and another 44 billion required in interest payments. THE DEMOCRATS ARE RUINING THE COUNTRY. McCarthy et al should agree to nothing until the budget is balanced at the current revenue levels; and that is being very generous.
If there is a default, that is the Democrats CHOICE. Key 2023 annual expenditures: 1.3 T$ for SSA, 1.5 T$ for M/M, less than 0.3T for debt interest. For 5 T$ of annual federal revenue (up more than 50% since 2016) there is enough money for what is needed. The Democrats are evil, the Republicans are inept. The country is doomed, doomed I say!

Raise the debt ceiling, take the money and invest it in USA manufacturing. Ease restrictions on manufacturing loans. We can use this boost to ramp up war munitions production and product manufacturing to supply to the world. The US makes great products with pride we can supply the world as India is not the World Hub for manufacturing yet, America can make use of the immigrants by helping to build communities that they can live in with dignity and earn US citizenship and a fair wage. The homeless in California and these immigrants can assist us in cleaning our country and her waterways, highways and nature preserves. Give these people a sense of pride a reason to be proud of America, all of this would pay down our debt. Build things for sale and your debt will disappear.

It is real simple, the bill has come due so pay it. Increase the debt limit. McCarthy and the MAGA extremists need to stop holding this country hostage crying about the deficit and spending. We hear this time and time again when a Democratic President is in office, and Republicans use this same play book every time. Did not happen once while Trump was in office and yet the deficit went up four fold. When it comes time to negotiate the upcoming budget, negotiate for cuts at that time, but stop playing chicken with the US Economy and people's lives.
