Most other countries ban abortion to the first trimester too. If you are nature enough to engage in sex you should be mature enough to monitor your menses and to look for sign and symptoms of pregnancy.

Birth control should not require a prescription or for one to be any minimum age to buy. That is absolutely disgusting. A 10 year old girl should be able to walk into CVS and buy it even if her ultra-conservative religious parents are against it. The cancer claims are are an exaggeration and childhood pregnancy from any reason is far worse. Parental consent should not be required for something like that.
Contraceptive surgical procedures such as vasectomies/tubal libation/hysterectomies should be universally guaranteed as a human right that one can just walk into a medical office/hospital and have it done, no questions asked, and no approval from a doctor required. No doctor should be able to refuse women the latter 2 procedures just because they don't have 2 kids yet, are under 26 (absurd), or their husband doesn't consent. This isn't the taliban. Claiming someone may regret it or is too immature to make that decision is the most horribly flawed logic imaginable by people with medical degrees for f*cks sake. Regretting accidentally having a kid is infinitely worse than regretting NOT being able to have them after the fact. That's common sense. Birth control isn't 100% effective, and that should be the patient's decision and their decision only. Who cares about the risks. For many (including myself and I'm a guy) unplanned pregnancy is much more life changing and a disaster than simple medical side effects. If a guy like me can just waltz into an office to get a half hour snip snip procedure at 18 (shouldn't be an age limit for that either), then it is absurd, disgusting, hypocritical, and almost a form of sexual assault in my opinion for a girl not to be able to do the same. Women are by no stretch of the imagination obligated to have kids, and all restrictions on such medications/procedures are an excuse for control/imposing personal absurd beliefs on other people when your job as a medical professional is to help them. It isn't a "cosmetic" surgery or an extra. Some women have even been refused these procedures for other medical reasons such as uvarian cancer, due to the "WhAt iF yOu wAnT A kiD" in the future BS argument. People have no medical rights in this country whatsoever. Such procedures should be free and fully covered by insurance regardless of the reason.
Ironically, people who whine about abortion being legal, also bitch about "sexually impulsive" people wanting to get these contraceptive procedures claiming "oh well they just shouldn't have sex". Asking people to resist a biological instinct for 8 extra years (the minimum age is 26 in Oklahoma for example), or to just "not get r*ped" is beyond despicable and there's no reason to. It's not the doctors responsibility to make sure a 20 year old makes the "correct decision" when choosing not to have kids and add to the overpopulated Earth. These people are literally asking for more abortions when they pull stuff like this. Don't want your precious clump of cells killed? Then stop putting roadblocks at every other available alternative such as surgery to end pregnancy risk for good. It should be codified into federal law that people of any age are guaranteed the right to these procedures without consent from any outside party, and that no state can ban them. Again, it is harmless to regret not being able to have kids, than to regret having them. If people really cared about the pain/death the feti experience during an abortion, they would be rallying for these other things to be legal as well, not restricting it, which shows it is phony virtue signaling and they don't actually care about protecting life. I've been registered as an independent voter for a year now (cancelled my GOP enrollment last year) but will likely just vote Democrat down the line to help end tyranny like this. I'll take more expensive gas/inflation/soft on crime laws any day if it means stopping these appalling medic rights violations and forced pregnancies. Infuriating..
