REMEMBER TO SUE
Anyway only stupid students just copy ChatGPT's essay wholesale. The smart students use it as an initial draft, add in some of their own arguments and quotes here and there, and voila it is not plagarism, but rather, an essay inspired by ChatGPT.
Why would you pay SO much for university only to cheat like that? Also if I were a teacher — of any level — & I checked my students’ papers this way & it responded that ALL were faked, I’d be extremely suspicious. That just wouldn’t make sense especially if there were students who I was sure I knew wouldn’t do that.
I’d be much more worried as a high school teacher or below.
It lies!!!!!!!
Plot twist… What if it's AI purposely doing this in order to set the humans against one another…
AI taking credit for EVERYTHING.
An quick way around AI in coursework is to have students to do their assignments in a system that requires them to logon to it and type everything in it by hand, with all interface to external systems disabled (not even cut and paste), just like the good old fashioned terminals.
This can be done by a terminal app connected to the university's system, and the system will only accept connections from this app, and the student must prove the identity with biometrics and 2FA, so that no other person can do the assignment for them, then the app cannot accept copy and paste (i.e. clipboard disabled).
Of course the student can type something he/she read from ChatGPT, but it will be more painful. The second way is that reduce the percentage of marks of take home assignments of a course, like no more than 30%, with in person written quiz and exams taking up the rest of the marks. This is what is done in Asia – exams and tests – where cheating is near impossible if all the students can bring into the room is their pens, corrector fluid and an approved calculator (with no text memory or programming functions).
AI will be the down fall
When chat gpt 5 comes out, it'll be impossible for teachers to tell what was cheats and what was real, chat gpt already if you copy and paste the same question over and over again gives you a different way it solves it but some end up wrong, as this AI grows it'll be virtually impossible for schools and colleges to stop especially online schools.
Though one person used it he admitted it sucks for him while everyone was exonerated anyway its a shi#ty situation but i dont think the professor is the only one at blame lots of issues are popping up affecting people who use it and its blasted on the media daily like seems like a very big issue i get its new but it shouldn't be globally accessable until they tweak it a blunder on their part but evwryone still uses it so only have themselves to blame and the school that allowed it
Professors are disgusting 🤮
on blast?
"On blast"? Can journalists just use standard English, not idiotic slang?
There was another guy who wrote program to detect if it was written by AI, with 80+ accuracy and won award for it.
In my experience as well, it's been very inaccurate many times and whenever you question it or ask it to explain its answers
it always backfires because it starts apologizing and changing its answers midway through
Many mathematical answers as well
“It’s moving so fast” Yeah. Need to take a step back there’s literally 100 movies on why ai is a bad idea 🤣
'Wowwww it's all moving sooo fast'
Chat GPT is definitely woke
Of course ChatGPT wrote those essays. It also wrote The Iliad and The Odyssey, MacBeth, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, The Great Gatsby and The Art of War. Most of ChatGPT's works were written under aliases such as Shakespeare, Homer and Sun Tzu.
The title makes it sound like both the instructors and students are using gpt to do their work lol, i mean.. they probably are
My son was also accused of using ChatGPT in college when he actually wrote the paper from scratch. The way the professor detected was to generate a version using chatGPT and then compare it to the student's work to find similarities. Needless to say, not a reliable method and I say go back to the old fashion way (forget about high tech, AIs) and just have students write essays in person.
Bomerism
So it's like a Trumpublican? Lies from a soulless entity?
These professors are about to have their worlds turned upside down. AI is going to shatter the traditional systems of education and shatter so many other things and as someone who finds the currents system extremely unjust I can’t wait to watch it break like glass! And even more I can’t wait to see those elite snobs who benefit from the current system be unable to handle the change.
Not AI error, user error.
Teachers don't teach they make you memorize stuff that you'll never use ever again. And that is why people use chat gpt and should. Get a life teachers
I would fire this professor for not knowing how to use chat GPT 😂. How late are you?
I love my phone and my tablet just like the next person, but I think our over-reliance on technology will be our downfall.
You gotta use parameters and filters so you can get a custom/non repeatable response. Also it’s these professors own fault acting like our life revolves around their 1 irrelevant class. It’s not like it’s the end of you’re career if you don’t take the class. Jobs still won’t hire you whether you take it or not.
