Although I don't consider myself a Republican, I am firmly in the Republican camp here. We have to make cuts if we will every hope to get control of the US public debt. The government can't keep handing out money for lots of reasons. That's what has been fueling inflation to a large degree. The debt of 31 trillion is just insane. It is now far higher than the GDP and we are on a course to a another Greece type economic disaster 30 times amplified.
I figured out the right wing MAGA crazies’ strategy. There are enough votes by GOP crazies in the House to prevent ANY debt ceiling legislation from passing. They WANT the economy to crash. That will bring economic Armageddon and will allow Trump to declare that “Only He Can Fix It.” That’s how Trump slithers back in office. And America will become a fascist authoritarian dystopia. You can’t fix crazy.
I wish to be congress. Keep raising my debt ceiling. 🙂 🙂
