Debt ceiling should never be allowed to be used for leverage so one side can get what they want. Let's make this perfectly clear for those idiots who clearly don't get what's going on. Even with a budget cut agreement the debt ceiling still needs to be raised. It's both Democrats and Republicans duty to make sure the government pays it's bill's. Democrats don't use the debt ceiling as hostage to get what they want but Republicans for the second time in history have literally taken it hostage. These are facts. It's also a fact that they are doing this because they don't want to be democratic and they want what they want even though they only represent about half of this country. That's not how democracy works. To get a by partisan deal done would take time and the final deal will be something were both sides have to give certain things up that they don't want to give up but that is what has to be done to get a deal. Both sides have to lose some of what they want. Republican's don't want to lose anything and that's why they are using the debt ceiling hostage. The debt ceiling should always be a separate issue always. There's literally Republican senators that said they were not voting to raise it unless they got what they wanted and alot of those senators are using other issues that has nothing to do with budget cuts. I'm not for either side because I don't like hypocrisy but in the case of the debt ceiling issue this is all on Republican's.
