Why is it so important for the U.S. to get to Mars first, when we haven’t finished exploring the Moon? Adam Frank, professor of astrophysics at the University of Rochester and author of the upcoming book “The Little Book of Aliens,” and Zhanna Malekos Smith, senior associate with the Aerospace Security Project and Strategic Technologies Program with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, discuss on Meet the Press Reports.

We Americans should have gone to mars in the 1980’s it shouldn’t take this long to send people to mars we should have done it over 30 years ago nasa should be ashamed of themselves… the audacity.
Someone took ayahuasca and said he saw this in his vision.
Sorry no one cares anymore
$10,000 per pound to get into low Earth orbit says otherwise.
1:25 it's easy to imagine people NOT living anywhere other than on Earth in 200 years and there being a lot of dead people waiting to burn up in an atmosphere
Waste of money.
If we somehow get people to Mars they'll probably die there, Plus in 50 or so years we're going to be too busy fighting for air and water to mes with it,
I hate to bust ya bubble but there wont be another 200 years. Yall Getting to careless, and stupid for all that we're on the brink of nuclear war today. Right now.
We can’t even fix our problems on earth!
Thank elon for it too hahahha
No
Build more homes.
Not go to mars
we need to fix the predatory nature of society before we ever live in space.
200 years? ROFL…we wont last another 50.
PLEASE! I want to get off this crap hole planet!
Like you said we're spending an awfully lot of money trying to figure out how to get humans to Mars. It's because it's a big grift and not happening. The guy is full of crap. That's also why this video says imagine in it.
whether it will actually happen is another question. it would require some really serious technological advances, no doubt about that. the cost of basic launch services would need to come down by like an order or magnitude or two for example. but that ain't all. whether these advances will conveniently be made, is something nobody can know now. it would be a great future, more prosperous than anything we can imagine now, but will it happen? got me.
sure it's easy to imagine that. it's easy to imagine all kinds of things. i can imagine marilyn monroe rising up from the grave and giving me a hickey any time i want to, for example. it's easy.
What about the trailer people? Will there be trailers in space near
a space Wal-Mart and space 7-11 where they can walk to get beer / cigarettes?
And what about drinking Space Beer in weightless conditions?
Rich people just want to get to mars so they can run away from earth after they totally fry it.
Space could be the area above a pocket where people live grounded.
