A man who died after being hit by a vehicle was helping a family of ducks cross a street. One young witness is hoping others will honor the kind man’s actions. KCRA’s Michelle Bandur reports.

The driver needs to face the highest charges for this. They were oblivious to their surroundings and a man needlessly and senselessly lost his life. Throw the book at them.

Kidness is one thing but stupidty is another. From what has been told by witnesses is that he turned around and walked in front of a moving car. Perhaps the excitment of the attention distracted him. 🤔

Very heart breaking. I truly do believe that this man had a heart of gold and it's a shame to see something so tragic happen to such a kind person. It makes me want to break down in tears because those two younger people speaking are proof that we should be helping and protecting animals. I have buried several cats, geese, dogs, etc. that were murdered by people racing through my neighborhood as if NASCAR race day couldn't get here soon enough. This saddening news proves my point.
