An Asiana Airlines plane landed safely in Daegu, South Korea, after a passenger opened its emergency door mid-flight, according to a company spokesperson. The flight was about three minutes from landing and nearly 700 feet above the ground when the passenger sitting next to the door used a lever to open it.

That has to be so terrifying. I'm glad they all survived but there's going to be some serious trauma and anxiety.
I guess someone wanted a real flight through the skies
As stated in the article it was during the final approach to landing phase, not "mid-flight". Better to have said "in flight" or "during approach to landing".
Why so much hurry by a passenger to exit
The one who did this should be arrested and charged.
It was not "mid-flight", get your facts straight.
All of them look so stupid.
Why should the ignorance of another endanger us all?
Been flying since the late 60s.
But the last 15 years…can't remember a time when things this stupid and silly occurred. And, its not the first time.
Why no one stopped him?
Everyone is just kinda chillin enjoying the breeze. No panic no screaming. Man if u got on that flight u hit the jackpot for least-annoying passengers.
Should have a metal sliding cover to pull down in that situation.
A new episode of stupid human tricks!
Too bad the fool wasn't sucked out.
"12 people went to the hospital with RESPIRATORY issues"
lol dude, imagine having to go to the hospital because things got
a little windy. Haha
What's aircraft type?
Woah, i've never seen a news like this before. It's a breath of fresh air.
Good to know the plane landed safely and there were no injuries, but they are too calm for me. Lol
Well at least they have a nice breeze now.๐
The dude was trying to commit suicide
Someone's intrusive thoughts won.
This means the door wasn't properly secured at first place…my god how terrifying is this…glad no one got hurt and the plane landed safely
Oh hells no
Now it's true that a passenger opened a door while the plane was still in the air, and twelve people suffered injuries. But the other passengers, they're just fine. They were in their seats, wearing seat belts, and free to pursue a life of religious fulfillment.
didn't know plane can fly with open door
I own a Jeep. This was nothing.
This is why cant have nice things..
everyone on that flight were very very lucky
Traumatic
Chinese people… ๐คฆ๐คฆ๐คฆ๐คฆ๐คฆ๐คฆ๐คฆ๐๐๐๐๐๐
So the passenger who opened the door didnโt get sucked out ?
That's not supposed to happen the airplane should be pressurized and impossible to open.
The title of this video is misleading. This is NOT "midflight" but 700 feet before landing.
I truly believe we as a human race need to start doing backround checks to not allow certain individuals to fly mark my words one day cause someone freaks out or has a episode will cause a catastrophic incident.
Making money is action. keeping money is behavior. Growing money is knowledge. I'm excited I started earning upto 15thousand dollars extra income<<<
This could not be mid flight. The cabin would have de-pressurized instantly, and the forces along it would take to open an emergency hatch alone in mid flight is almost impossible. This is due to the speed of the aircraft and the forces of the wind against the aircraft. Not saying it's impossible but it's an extremely hard thing to do in mid-flight going at speeds of up to 400 miles an hour or over. This had to happen during take off. I know I'm being overly technical. But happy that everyone was ok, this could have gone very wrong very quickly.
