A California police officer with horse experience rode a wayward horse back to its owner after a 911 call came through. The owner was found at a nearby bridge, who told officers that the horse got spooked and ran off.

Kudos to the person that called it in. A horse roaming the streets can be easily injured or killed and their rider could have been hurt somewhere as well. A domesticated horse can be moved even without a saddle or reins; I've used my sweatshirt before to lead a horse to her home. Not to say the officer didn't do well though; I'm guessing both he and the horse are leg trained.

Totally weird. The horse has a saddle but no bridle. I don't think that cop had one freaking ounce of control about where it was going. Catering a horse on asphalt. Dangerous to both horse and rider. Pretty much think the horse was in control here

Even the cops out in the country by my cattle farm couldn’t do that. When my cows get out they just turn their sirens on trying to scare them back and poke them with their azz beating batons. I’ll literally walk out there put my arm over their shoulder and walk them back like we are homies going on a stroll. You’d think country cops would know how to deal with livestock.

It may be a shock to some people but some officers still ride horses. Obviously not all the time. Usually during events like parades or stuff
