Finally, being able to hear him in more than soundbites, I was aware of his mediocre, unexciting speech pattern. He's rather mundane. There's a tone in his voice that makes him seem run of the mill boring. Somehow, he can't seem to decide on how to say his name. Is it DUH SANTIS, or is it DEE SANTIS ? He can't seem to decide ! He's NOT an inspirational speaker. He's like every other guy who simply wants to complain ! Sorry, I have no interest at all in this candidate .

Reminder: DeSantis has done NOTHING to help Florida in any material way. All he has done is wage a culture war against already vulnerable and marginalized groups and picked a VERY PETTY fight with Florida's #1 single largest employer and source of tax revenue over their EXTREMELY mild and half-hearted statement supporting the rights and freedoms of the LGBTQ+ community.
Nothing on fixing Florida's crumbling infrastructure that has taken a beating in the last few years' storms.
Nothing about the high-speed rail project.
Nothing about repairing communities that still lie in devastation from recent weather events.
Nothing about helping the many homeless people who reside in Florida.
Nothing about fixing Florida's horrible education system — one of the worst in the nation (3rd from the bottom!).
Nothing about replacing the cancelled higher education programs that are designed to get Floridians the vocational and college education they need to remain competitive.
Nothing about ANYTHING other than waging a WAR on Florida's CITIZENS. That's it's. That's his ENTIRE platform.
If you send him to Washington, it will be more culture war and nothing else. He has NO foreign policy (and the British couldn't wait for him to leave when he visited!), he has no economic policy, he has no plans to address America's failing infrastructure, he has no military policy, he has no experience collaborating with ANYONE who doesn't believe EXACTLY what he believes.

Wow. I see an eerie similarity between Trump 2016 and DeSantis 2024. Vilified and written off by the Democrats, the media (both legacy and FOX!), the Republican core (in 2016 the Bushes, etc., in 2023 the Trumpers), and others.
