Restarting student loans will cause huge problems with stocks, housing,and auto industry. There isnt an easy solution to fix the student loan problem,but people have been spending for 3 years without payments. Its going to be a disaster

Of course McCarthy will cave. The whole issue is a fake scam to try and get you to worry about a "default", when they actually have plenty of money to make the interest payments, just not enough to waste on everthing else they want to do. Then a deal is made, and crisis averted, yay!

Let's hope they are never able to raise the debt ceiling again. If they can't and they "default", it would be because they choose to. The US Govt. takes in plenty of money to make interest payments, just not as much as they want, to waste on everything else. They would have to decide on their spending priorities, just like every other person or organization in history that couldn't take money through force, or print more of it.
Hopefully it will totally gridlock them, and they will never be able to "get anything done" ever again. They have "done" quite enough. All of them.

Ofcourse the core problem of debt is going to get worse. The monetary system that we have is built upon it.. I'm curious if people who went through the financial crisis in 2008 had an easier time than me right now. The stock market is making me really worried because I've lost over $ 27,000 in just this month and I'm not making as much money as I used to. This is making me concerned that I might not have enough money saved up for my retirement since I can't add to my savings.
Inflation, bank collapse, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place. It's all coming together and it could lead to a real disaster towards the end of this year (or sooner). With inflation currently at about 6%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.
How about laying off some of the Washington DC criminals that are not upholding their oath to the constitution

I can tell you this. Everyone who depends on Social Security, Medicare, Veterans benefits, and medicated are sweating bullets right now. Even if they are Republicans who agree with spending cut backs. I know some people who are lucky enough to have money in their 401K's and such that started taking money out of their investments to cover the possible loss of their social security payments.
Since the democrats want to spend more money. Let it be with their own pay check to bail us out since the democrats are responsible for all the problems.
