I was a civil engineer… I don't design buildings that collapse… That being said and since this one collapsed… They should have built support scaffolding to restore some structural integrity with some support beams… They still can now, if they want to search more safely… Firefighters 🚒 need to use the ladders and axes 🪓 to break the buildings 🏢 windows to get a better look inside the buildings before they demolish it…

perfect example of government inspectors being bought off . building was not built to code. I worked On a school blew the whistle and lost my job , because of out of spec stairs and other code that were out of specs James Town MN School building. The MN inspectors are bought and paid for. I was Iron worker.

Sounds like the city is liable because this was reported and the city didn’t really do anything they could’ve condemned the building then so they want it demolished as quickly as possible to destroy the evidence and so does the owner
They want to demolish it quickly to destroy the evidence before any of it can be documented. One of them said he knows the owner plus the city may have liability too, so there’s an incentive to destroy the evidence. The owner has an incentive to have it destroyed quickly because many insurance policies provide a separate coverage amount for the demolition of the building, but only if it is deemed an eminent hazard by the city. $$$$$$$

we have search dogs, robots and drones , we have inferred cameras, and heat detecting tech. all of this should be used before the building is demolished, Looks like a huge coverup. why were people allowed to live in a building that needed that much extensive repair. Looks like a lot of unanswered questions and pending law suits.

Until every single person that may have been in that building is accounted for, they should absolutely not demolish it. If this was a high rent or VIP building, no expense would be spared to find every single one of the survivors or their bodies.

I saw a video last night where residents standing outside the fenced barrier said they could hear a woman screaming for help from the building but the city had already decided to demolish the building and demolition was slated to take place in a few hours. I would be angry too. You don't demolish a building without doing due diligence to make sure you have recovered all bodies or persons
