I personally prefer not to link my bank account as it is harder to recover funds defrauded from your own account.
I prefer using a credit card linked with a payment system like Apple Pay so that even if there's fraud, it's not my money that's being lost. Credit Card disputes are settled faster.

QR code payment is high tech compare to cash but its still low tech. The best is NFC payment or Tap to Pay like google pay or Apple Pay.
I know someone would say how about CC ? Ok Credit card is different entirely its not just payment method its actually a loan plus credit companies offer security protection against fraud in case of unauthorized transactions.
