No one claimed that renewable energy was going to replace all other sources of energy overnight. Byron wants to stop the investment in the future. Over the last 10 years, the renewable energy contribution to America's energy independence has more than doubled. More than 13% of America's energy comes from "green" sources. Also, renewable energy is responsible for nearly half of the jobs in the energy sector. If Byron had his way, he would put about 3.5 million people out of work… while diminishing America's energy independence… and for what??? A political talking point.
The Republicans during the Trump administration are responsible for 25% of the total national debt. I don't think any of them have any grounds to refer to the "radical spending of the Democrats". I don't think Byron has any grounds for calling anyone else irresponsible.
