Hakeem Jeffries boasted last night after the debt ceiling bill passed 314 yeas and 117 nea's. He made comments to the effect that democrats had taken back the house because of their 165 votes (Dems) vs republicans 149 showing the bill to pass with 314 votes. But these votes were possible because the clock went into overtime.
At the moment the clock ran to 0:00 the votes were: Republicans: 135, Democrats: 98 = 233 votes. Two hundred and eighteen votes were needed for this to pass. So in essence this bill passed with a majority of Republican votes. The Democrats piled on the votes after the clock ran out for boasting purposes and nothing more. Republicans are still in the majority.
When the thing, is in pain, it spreads out its feeling of discomfort of ruins, upon suffering of the people.
If they don't vote yes every last person who supports them will suffer so at the very end of the day you got to sign it or you don't care about Americans. Government contract jobs will suffer. Our stance in the world will suffer. Veterans will suffer. The military will suffer. The stock market will suffer. Everyone from rich to poor will suffer. Our enemies may choose to attack in some way at that moment. I think both The President & Mccarthy undersand that at this point. Anyone else from either side that doesn't is a true idiot. Do you think they will simply blame the other guy as you make your statement to a devastated America, no they will blame every member who voted no regardless of their party. They may just blame all. Regardless of what you have against the bill, the bill is not the point right now. Its the debt ceiling. This situation has been merged together so forget about your personal feelings & vote yes for the sake of the bigger picture. The effects of a default will last past any new legislation after. The bill can be amended later. For now just save America or our down fall is what you all always wanted. Your names, all your names of those who vote no will be labeled as traitors. What else could be the reason. No statement is more important.
