A family in Florida has been reunited after their car was stolen with their sleeping two-year-old child inside. The suspect is still missing. NBC News’ Miguel Almaguer has the latest.

If those parents were BIPOC, child services would have been called, parents detained even though the incident was tragic enough.
I hope they learned not to be lazy and take the key out of the ignition and never leave your kid in the car by themselves ever again! 🤦♂️

Just for all the non-parents. You need to leave the kid somewhere when loading or unloading the car.
I know this didn’t happen in this case, but it happens everywhere.
The only way you don’t need to do it is when the other parent is helping too.
Mother’s usually have to multitask. That is unfortunately the way it is.
Never ever ever leave your children alone in a car even in your home garage with the garage door closed until they are mature (as a parent you know when they are) for some it comes at 13 or others at 16 etc etc
The reason I say this is because one of the most terrifying thing I ever heard was on Oprah show long long time ago before I was a mother. A mother had left her 8 year old daughter and 12 year old son in the car in the parking lot of a building to go to a board meeting for 30 minutes and the boy started playing with the gears and since the car was on a slope, it started rolling, the terrified boy jumped out of the car, got in front the car trying to stop the car and got crushed between the fence and the car. Please don't leave them in the car even for a few minutes.

The level of stupidity by the parents is painful. There’s evil in life; life can be unjust and unfair, but don’t go out of your way and ask for it. YOU DON'T LEAVE YOUR CAR RUNNING UNATTENDED, worst WITH YOUR CHILD INSIDE!!! Not even for one second. If you don’t get this, I bet you have problems understanding life, and although you can’t see it or notice, others will, and some will suffer because of that.

As a father of a two years old myself, I cant even begin to imagine what those parents went through for those couple of hours, and also the baby, thank god he is ok and back to his parents

So, the thief saved the kid and then stole the car? The parents and the thief should be arrested. Why two people need to check up on a grown adult. It only takes one to do both these things. Two heads aren't better than one all the time I suppose. Only in Florida people, only in Florida.
