A major question I have is: Why did McCarthy and the HOR have to 'negotiate' at all? They passed a bill that avoided default. What compelled them to have to go to Biden to negotiate and throw it all away? What law says they had to do anything after passing the bill? McCarthy and the House Republicans should have passed the bill and then immediately left the country, flown around the world to study their family heritage and ancestry and not return to Washington until after Janet Yellen's X-Date(s).
