Watched it and liked it. I'll agree that it's not better than the original but it is certainly better than Pinocchio, Peter and Wendy, Dumbo, and Mulan. there were issues with the pacing around the first 20 minutes, "Scuttle Butt" was a terrible song, CGI could've better otherwise a 7/10 movie

It's soooo funny they only mention Domestic numbers and NOT include International, with only $68 Million. Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King reached high numbers, NOT because of US/Canada, but because of International numbers. So good luck to this. Next week, it's going to die from a spider, meaning, Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse this coming Friday, and films still competing with Fast X, Guardians, and even still Super Mario Bros. and then next week, is Transformers. I'm against crap that spins a story and not being transparent, great job media, and I feel like, ALL OF MEDIA is doing this. BUT PEOPLE AREN'T DUMB! And numbers don't lie. Will watch Little Mermaid, though not at theaters, 2+ hours with kids around me, hell no. They'll non-stop cry and parents will just ignore that crap.
