I kept trying to look closely .i do this kind of work. I dont see metal decking below concrete .hopefully im just not seeing it if the owner was to cheap to pay for metal decking its on him and the engineer too
In the old days a construction inspector was onsite. You couldn't start work until the inspector arrived onsite. He knew every job. If you didnt level the measurements rights he would know. Now construction companies see it as a waste of money. Construction Supervisors dont even stay on the premise. He gets one of the guys to supervise the crew. When a problem happens you see the management trying to cover up the problem before the fire department/ paramedic arrives or the properties owners

I drive all over NYC and never ever see any English speaking construction workers. They are exactly the same that stand at the corners’ trying to get a day job. Around 5pm they put the backpack with all their belongings and go to their “apartment” where a dozen live. The others try to get a few hour job in the boroughs and stand like prostitutes at the corners. If they get nothing, around 3pm they all are already drunk. Come to 65th street between 7 and 24 avenues in Brooklyn, NY and you’ll see that.
