No Ash-win for India means no win, no WTC, yes WTF 🤦♂
When ipl captain is picked😂😂
It is truly exasperating to observe their continual letdowns, marked by subpar team selections and a lack of understanding of pitch and weather conditions, even in familiar settings. Australia's evident superior preparedness adds to the frustration. Despite possessing the resources and expertise to enlist proficient analysts capable of providing valuable insights, it remains disheartening to witness our team consistently fall short.
gya india
Huge blunder in dropping Ashwin, and very unwise to put Australia in to bat after winning the toss. India will be lucky to get away with a draw.
They are definitely missing ashwin
We said yesterday itself that Ashwin should play but probably the team will play Jadeja

I think Ind need to wake up to the fact that our fast bowling is not as great as we tout it to be. We relied a lot on Bumrah and Shami for overseas success, and barring a few exceptions like the Gabba, we have only won when those two have done something. Without Bumrah, the seam bowling attack is weak. I think Ind need to start blooding next generation of fast bowlers quickly, because Umesh has been like this for as far as I remember. He can be brilliant at times, but he is largely loose and can't apply pressure. Shardul is just limited in his skills. He can only be effective if other bowlers are applying pressure. With Umesh leaking, and even Shami and Siraj going for plenty in latter spells, it just makes Shardul easy pickings at his pace. If Bumrah was in the side, I would have supported a 4 seam attack with Shardul or Umesh as the 4th seamer. But you cannot have both Umesh and Shardul against a strong Aus side. Ashwin is a better bowler than both in any conditions. So that was a major mistake. Ind desperately needs a spell of inspiration by one or two of the bowlers.
This game will be a draw.. day 4 looks to be a washout…
It is high time for indian team to realize that we dont perform our best or we dont play good cricket at icc events, it been like this, our bowlers has not shown any intent for wickets after lunch session, from team selection to playing 11 everytime we make mistake it is like we prepare our average team for big events, kudos to aussies team they have a big advantage before them and they got a big pscylogical win on 1st day against team india, if bangladesh, sri lanka, afghan, pakisthan were in finals they would have shown more intent and determination than us.
Really bad captaincy. Not taking crucial wickets because of bad tactics
Nothing to feel bad…if India were in today, they would have lost too many wickets and now since the pitch is a batting paradise, even India would score big for sure and therefore this test match is going towards a draw…..and hence India and Australia would be joint winners of the Test Mace !! Mark my words !!!
Test match is for 5 days, you don’t select 4 pacers based on first day cloudy morning, how dumb is our management
Considering Bumrah is injured, they should have played Umran Malik. Both coach and captain lack the killer Instinct 😞
Day 1 has gone on expected lines.. the courageous has again triumphed over the fearful.. All Aussie batsmen and especially Travis Head & Steve Smith played their natural game and Rohit ran out of options and ideas once they got on top.. Shami and Siraj looked like his only wicket taking options and while Shardul got lucky with the Warner wicket of an innocuous ball, he never looked like a bowler of international class who could trouble the batsmen.. Jadeja was always a defensive option and Umesh’s bowling was pedestrian.. Rohit could have tried some defensive bowling tactics and particularly against Head who thrives on ticking on, it could have proved just as challenging.. there was that slash from Head in the post tea session that Rahane wasn’t fast enough to grab, and we also saw a lack of imagination at times which is so unlike Rohit .. they went to the bouncer ploy as Head neared his ton and indeed he looked uncomfortable, but with no leg gully or forward short leg that usually accompanies such a strategy, one felt that yet again India’s defensive mindset was on display where they didn’t do all that could be done and kept fielders in unnecessary positions for the bowling plan being executed.. but this is what happens when you have made it too easy in recent past for even B grade bowlers on landmines in India to take opposition wickets at the drop of a hat.. so used to regular wickets are india that once a partnership formed, they couldn’t find a way to take wickets and contain Australia.. 327 runs is 40-50 too many on this Day 1 pitch that assisted swing and seam for a majority of the day.. I don’t necessarily disagree with taking the new ball in the 81st over, but it didn’t look like India had a plan.. also didn’t look like India imbibed the learning’s from some of their recent tours to England where the overhead conditions dictate a lot of game plans.. with the sun out, they should have opted for defensive bowling tactics such as bowling a 5th stump line with a packed offside field .. it looked like the Indian think tank had picked a team but not planned to play in accordance with their abilities.. again, tough to say if bowling Shami and Siraj in tandem even in the middle phases for their 2nd spells was right or wrong; 1 could say that both would have been rendered useless if pressure was getting released from the other end and hence Rohit kept deploying them in tandem to build sustained pressure, but given overhead conditions maybe he should have split them up.. Shami(Standard Shami plan)+Jadeja(defensive) & Umesh(defensive 5th stump line)+Siraj(short & hostile)could have been a combination..
Anyways, hindsight always allows us to be the wiser, Rohit missed Ashwin & Hardik kind of thinkers/bold cricketers-Ashwin vs Smith & Hardiks relentless short ball ploy vs Head could have given a different dimension to this game alltogether.. he tried his old ploys from the IPL like slowing the game down etc but nothing worked against Head & Smith..
Day 2 is big – Australia look set for a 500+ score and India needs loads of luck and lots of courage tomorrow along with practical thinking.. they have to maximise their chances in the 1st hour tomorrow; today’s short ball ploy va Head could mislead them and they need to stick to the basics of new ball bowling while using the bouncer as a surprise weapon vs Head & not overdo it.. when it comes to Smith, they will need luck but they could just use his patience & wait for the bad ball strategy to take time out of the game and not allow Australia to score briskly.. Green and Carey could be thorns too and 100s are for the taking for them tomorrow as well.. India need some magic from Shami & Siraj..
Mukesh Ambani do something
Another edition of the chokers!!
Only a miracle can save India in this test match i.e. also a draw being the most likely scenario for India. There is no pant to accelerate. Australia will declare somewhere around 550-600 tomorrow. India will be bowled out for 300+. Some flashy shots and drives then wickets falling in clusters. Seen this happening before, now reached a point where not even disappointed with the performance since it's expected that India post 2013 can't win an ICC trophy. At least this generation of superstars won't be able to; maybe the next batch in the next 5-10 years.
R Ashwin in that Southampton test was the only one who could take any wicket against NZ in the 2nd innings on a deck not suitable for spin whereas the Indian ace pace battery struggled in that final as well. Ashwin should have played irrespective of the result since India losing was anyway on the cards
India will come back stronger
Congratulations Aus for winning WTC finals.
They win because they are professional and play on merit and do not make heroes out of good players, Indian worship players and that's why it will always haunt us in Championship Final everytime because fair and impartial decision are not taken.
Rohit sharma ko Ashwin ko khilana chahiye tha
Worst selection of INDIA team 11 they must include Ashwin in the playing 11. I hope at least they make test match draw.
As much as I would like to see India win, they don't deserve to. I don't know if it was the combined decision of Dravid and Rohit, but two unacceptable blunders. Not batting 1st on a green wicket, defensive mindset, and not playing Ashwin considering how effective he can be from day 3 onwards.
Just a random thought, why can't India play Deepak chahar in the red ball format, especially in these conditions. He can be a boon.
When IPL is more important than ICC tournaments then you will get such results only.
Now that stupid MI fans will realise the power of king kohli
Pitch wasn't flat. First hour was literally unplayable Warner and labuchagne weathered the storm and laid great platform. Still ball was moving all the day but Australia's discipline triumphed over India's wayward bowling. This sanjay is the most biased commentator after sunil.
Rohit missed all the overseas test series he has not captained outside India . Now in finals overseas he becomes clueless on day 1.
warner played really played very good in pressure
in bowling condition australia played odi
rahane should skipper
