So much noise but the reality is both Ashwin & Jadeja are home track bullies, in comparison Lyon is definitely better. Both Ash & Jaddu can't be in the side in a overseas test , had to pick one and it has to be jaddu who is a Far better batsmen and can perform a holding role better than Ashwin.

Some of the errors made by Rohit so far :
1. First and foremost, not selecting Ashwin (No : 1 Test bowler) in your eleven.
2. Giving a longer spell to Shami and Siraj. That definitely did not help them to bowl the lengths mentioned by Manju and also the pace.
3. There were too many boundary balls bowled by our pace battery, Rohit never seemed to send any msg and ask his bowlers to bowl with a plan.
4. In general, looking at the way Oz has bowled, we should have kept them to 350 maximum.
5. Last but not the least, whilst he was batting, his application and concentration level was not up to the WTC Finals standards. Maybe if this was an IPL finals, it would have helped ๐ฟ

How could Pant make Kagiso Rabada Err in his line? How could he give tension to Nathan Lyon on a fifth day test pitch at Sydney? The answer is, you have to take little risk against persistent bowling attacks. Prior to the Kohli pujara generation, previous Indian batting line ups would maintain a run rate of at least 3 runs per over. Some day based on the situation they would counter attack the best in the business.
Now, these batters normally maintain a run rate below 3 runs per over. Why is that, the answer is there is none to dominate a bowling attack in their ranks.
Someday when Gill is promoted to number 4 from number 1, he may become that batsman.
But these batters tend to play lots of dot balls thus resulting in putting themselves into a hole.

Even in Indian conditions, our top order was failing consistently. It was mostly the lower order which bailed us out.
But we had AA battery that time (Axar and Ashwin), this time around :
1. Lord Thakur
2. Lord of Lords Umesh
3. Useful Shami
4. Not to mention Siraj
Hook or crook, if we can add another 150-200 runs with our lower order, at least the morale would be back, or else this Test is finishing in 4 days ๐

Just look back and see how many test matches he has won as a coach??? combined with a clueless captain is ruining Indian cricket. time and again when bowlers goes for runs you will see rohit scratching his head and making faces instead planning changes in bowling. Its really disheartening to see BCCI is only worried about making money and nobody actually cares about winning important games. we need a coach and captain who is strategically sound and who can turn around bad day in their favor instead of dravid who you will always find in dressing room with a flat face letting things happen on its own. If you dont changed the captain and coach now we will surly loose ODI WC

Ground condition being applied for dropping the champion bowler and the top wicket taker in the WTC series so far is nothing less than foolish and suspicious too! Would they apply pitch condition to the selection of the best batter, like Kohli? Have they ever dropped Kumble or Bhajji on a crucial test match when they were top wicket takers and available for selection? What is the rationale here? If you compare average wicket then there is not much difference between siraj and green, if green is limited talent then siraj is also. Problem of India cricket team we highly rate our average player compare to other team that mind set of typical subcontinent. Pakistan have same obsession with babar who is average test batsman but they make so much hype around him and compare to fab Four. I think if anyone come close in test then it's marnus not babar
Rahane was plumb just no ball save him, it's not almost correct your statement btw jadeja as a bowler is weak link, in India subcontinent average bowler become world class but in flat deck you need genuine bowler like ashwin, jadeja can play as a batsman but he is not your number 1 spinner.

Ashwin was the one who played outstanding innings and took 10 wickets against Bangladesh to ensure India qualified in WC final and u drop him. You can't go further down than this.
The lack of accountability in Indian cricket is baffling. All the players and coaching staff keep their jobs even after repeated failures. This coaching group has to go. The same bowlers who were performing so well under the previous management have suddenly become too bad under the new management.

It's undisputable that our kingpin in Test cricket somehow is Rishabh Pant who can take the attack to opposition and can play the innings that Head did. The rest seem confused about their game plan and really get bogged down by technicalities.
