JOE, as a so called elected public official you took an oath to uphold the Constitution and protect people's rights guaranteed by it. The Second Amendment, the right of the the people to keep and bear arms, just happens to be included in your oath. To push "gun control" is a violation of your oath of office that you swore to defend. Joe you are not only a liar but a traitor that is wanting to usurp the Constitution. To deny people their Constitutional rights is also a violation of federal law. 18 US Code title 241-242. Excuse me, but I guess I forget, Democrats are above the law when it comes to forwarding their agenda.
I have seen quite a few elderly open carry. It is very easy for a teen or young person to overcome them, hurt them , in order to take it off them. It attracts more danger rather than offer them protection. I am over seventy and walk at night alone. I fear tripping and falling more than anything else. The only thing I carry is a flashlight.

The second amendment of the Constitution is clear that any restrictions are an infringement and unconstitutional. Why is that so hard to understand? Biden likes to say that the Constitution is not absolute. The Constitution is absolute or it would be worth nothing!

I was a soldier and then I was a Police Officer. I've been issued or owned everything from .177 air rifles to 120mm cannons. I've seen guns used appropriately, and I've seen them used badly.
Based on this body of experience and observations, I've formed a number of conclusion:
Fearful men like guns because it gives them the illusion of security, when it actually puts them at risk.
Powerless men like guns because it gives them the illusion of power, because they've mistaken the ability to do damage for power.
People who sell guns are looking to sell them to the fearful and powerless, who are exactly the people you don't want to have guns.
The RIGHT to own a gun does not equate to a REASON to own a gun.
For those who are wondering, no, I no longer own any firearms. I'm into Archery these days and I sleep fine.
