The economic sanctions were initially effective but have waned substantially. Putin did have an economic plan in place prior to the invasion. Jinping will have an even more robust plan and there is already evidence that the plan is well under way. As painful as it is to say…looking outward is not the answer… we must now consider looking inward to be effective.
