How many specials do we really need on Aaliyah? They revisit this story every two to three years just like they do Biggie and Pac. There is nothing new we learned. We all know the scandal with R. Kelly and she was multi-talented, singing since she was a kid in that one show. Again, nothing new. So many other stars passed away that we rarely hear about. Lisa Left Eye passed around the same time, yet i think theres only one doc on her and it was the one she made herself before she died. There's always a doc on TLC but i wanna know more about Lisa from the beginning.

this documentary didn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know….journalists, modern day singers, fashion designers who can’t do anything but speculate about who she was because they didn’t actually KNOW her. Aside from the few rare clips and graduation/prom photos, most of the footage already is on YouTube. They could have kept this. Coming from a real Aaliyah fan.
This is distastefully made and is not a tribute whatsoever. If it’s not backed up by majority of the people Aaliyah actually knew, then please stop releasing things that keep her attached to this man. Her career was skyrocketing greatly without him. Amen and thank you.
