  1. Just came across this video. Shout out to my beloved Lincoln O' Lincoln University of Missouri trailblazing by having the FIRST HBCU police academy!!! This coming from a Spring 2000 alum and Blue Tiger!!!

  2. I do not understand the race part in this. Both whites and blacks are slightly overrepresented in the police force relative to their population ratio. Those who are actually underrepresented are asian americans, yet no effort is made to recruit more asian americans. At this point, making everything about black/white injustice seems to be a current trend rather than a response to an actual need. This, unfortunately, misleads society to believe that things are worse than they actually are which consequentally impedes our progress in race relations.

  3. This is how a police academy should be , not some paramilitary bullshit nazi training , I don’t get america , what a back ass country

  4. My HBCU and Kinfolk Chief Hill. Outstanding work and dedication to being that Agent of change. May the good Lord continue your efforts and the efforts of the Lincoln University Police academy for others to benefit from!

  5. These kids have zero clue, still. They're all spouting the same woke bs that the media teaches them. And I wouldn't want most of them in a car with me because when it came down to it, they would be a dangerous liability.

  6. "diversify police forces" You mean discriminate against whites

  7. Why is she saying, "I will be a Police officer.' You will have a license not be an officer.

  8. A lot of these candidates are overweight. Thats one of the problems with civil rights violations; over wt. leads to police assaults.

  9. I would never attend an HBCU institution especially since that WSU incident.

  10. "if those numbers are to change". That is what is wrong right there. Assuming that because the majority of officer's are white that they are bad and that we need more black officers. We need GOOD officers. You will never get rid of racism as long as everything is about race.

  11. Don't get too cozy with those you arrest or you may die.

  12. 6 months is not enough.

  13. Well did all 9 recruits pass? Why leave us hanging ABC…. ?

  14. 👮‍♂️✊✊🏾 ~ But I do wonder why people believe cops could never have a bad day so they should always be willing and able to de-escalate the situation, but I don’t believe that regular citizens should be held to the same standard. No matter how many times a citizen gets pulled over they are dealing with these extremely stressful situations only an extremely small fraction of the time that a cop is dealing with them.

So you expect a cop to put aside their emotions and do everything perfectly hour after hour, day after day, week after week, month after month. But you don’t expect a regular citizen who may be pulled over once a week (which would be an astronomical amount of times) or less because they’re upset?

And of course I’m not saying the cops should not be held to a higher standard of doing things right and working to have a good outcome, but they have to deal with a lot on every stop and interaction every single day. People often operate with a double standard where they expect a lot from the other person but little from their selves. And police are not immune from this, they operate off of the same double standard the regular citizens do. And I think part of the problem is people view their PERSPECTIVE as “their truth.“ It’s not truth, it’s your perspective.

  15. What a joke. This is why police are so terrible. 6 months is not enough. Shooting at barrels won’t train fight or flight situations. To be a surgeon takes ten plus. It should be the same for police.

  16. A lot of fat butts in chairs. Not ready

  17. Oh yea all those racist white cops! Lol clowns.

  18. C’mon Howard University! Let’s do it!

  19. 1:12 I don’t think it matters what percentage of race is in policing as long as we have good officers.
