China usually will display 2 standing flags in the meeting hall when having meeting with official invited foreign diplomats. 1 will be the China flag and the other will be the foreign diplomat country flag to show respect to the invited visiting diplomat from other country. In this case, we don't see there is flag displaying in the meeting hall. WHY??? Because this FM was not even invited by the Chinese government to meet with them.

Can the executive branch(Biden Admin) control the rabid alt-right wing of the GOP not go woke all over again by passing anti-China legislations, convening anti-China Congressional hearings, Congress-persons making provocative visits to Taiwan, etc. All to sabotage efforts to ease tension in the relationship so they can one-up the Dems to make them look weak. China is simply a victim of US domestic politics. Everyone knows there's no better way for slimey politicians to "unite' the country to hit out at their rivals which they will labeled as "traitors" for selling out the country.
China will be watching if the US will put their money where their mouth in terms of sincere actions and not just talk.
To show that these meeting are not just mere shows for optics to help Biden in his re-election.
