  2. Welcome Donnie Yen, member of CCP

  3. Wouldn't it be awesome if the Oscar statues actually contained REAL bullshit?

  4. No longer have the slightest interest in the Oscars! yawn! Just another media construct!

  5. Here are the 2023 lists of Academy Award nominees of 2022 that I hope they’d won (even though I never saw The Fabelmans nor Everything Everywhere All At Once), but they’re all great, fantastic movies. They don’t need an Oscar. The Oscars needs them. Awards are overrated anyway. But anyway, here they are.

    BEST PICTURE:

Everything Everywhere All At Once – Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, and Jonathan Wang, producers

(Even though I never saw that movie though, but I think it deserved that win though. I really want either Avatar: The Way of Water, Elvis, or maybe even Top Gun: Maverick to win Best Picture too, because they’re all such great movies. If Top Gun: Maverick wins for Best Picture, then that means that Tom Cruise will finally win an Oscar for producing the film!)

    BEST DIRECTOR:

Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert – Everything Everywhere All at Once
    or
    Steven Spielberg – The Fabelmans

    BEST ACTOR:

Austin Butler – Elvis as Elvis Presley

    BEST ACTRESS:

Michelle Yeoh – Everything Everywhere All at Once as Evelyn Wang

    BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR:

Ke Huy Quan – Everything Everywhere All at Once as Waymond Wang

    BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS:

Angela Bassett – Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as Queen Ramonda

    BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY:

Everything Everywhere All at Once – Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert
    or
The Fabelmans – Steven Spielberg and Tony Kushner

    BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAYS:

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery – Rian Johnson; based on characters created by Johnson and the film Knives Out
    or
Top Gun: Maverick – Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and Christopher McQuarrie; based on the film Top Gun written by Jim Cash and Jack Epps Jr.

    BEST ANIMATED FEATURE FILM:

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio – Guillermo del Toro, Mark Gustafson, Gary Ungar and Alex Bulkley

    BEST ORIGINAL SCORE:

    Babylon – Justin Hurwitz

    BEST ORIGINAL SONG:

"Hold My Hand" from Top Gun: Maverick – music and lyrics by Lady Gaga and BloodPop

    BEST COSTUME DESIGN:

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Ruth Carter

    BEST FILM EDITING:

    or
Everything Everywhere All at Once – Paul Rogers

    BEST VISUAL EFFECTS:

Avatar: The Way of Water – Joe Letteri, Richard Baneham, Eric Saindon and Daniel Barrett

  6. Why isn't Will Ganss hosting the Oscars? Jimmy Kimmel always adds another hour to the telecast- Oh pleeease don't make it even longer!! Enough of his jokes.

  7. How much lower are the ratings going to be this year?

  8. good thing that my best friend name os Oscar😉

  9. Bill Nighy finally got his first Oscar nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role. As much as I wanted Brendan Fraser to win even though Colin Farrell is the frontrunner to prevail, I think BILL NIGHY WILL WIN THIS! What are your thoughts?

  10. 43:36 I am glad there is no nominees to "Lightyear" and "Strange World." Their movies suck and disastrous in 2022.

  11. RRR jai hind jai bharat 🇮🇳💪

  12. Too many ads and too much gabbing!

  13. Dammm a chino killed a bunch of people😩😩😩 smh they usually don’t get down like that out here! They usually come here to get away from all that violence smh

  14. My observation:
*When #BlackLivesMatter erupted, "Black Panther" received multiple nominations from the Academy.
*When #AsianHate became an issue, "Parasite" received multiple nominations and bagged Best Picture.
*Now that assaults and killings to Asian-Americans are everywhere, "EEAAO" received multiple nominations.
    **ART NOW IS POLITICIZED.**

  15. But we have gun laws….

  16. I love that the literary giant Kazuo Ishiguro is now an Oscar nominee! And that Bill Nighy got in for Living also. Paul Mescal for Aftersun was a lovely choice too (although I'd have especially loved if Charlotte Wells got into director for Aftersun rather than Ostland for Triangle of Sadness). It's great how well All Quiet on the Western Front did too. Glad Judd Hirsch made it in for a highlight of a performance in the Fabelmans, where he made every second he was on screen golden. And I hope somehow the Banshees of Inisherin can pull off a best pic win. Glad it got in everywhere where it was expected. Overall, not a bad set of nominees.

  17. Ntr rrr and rajamouli are ❤

  18. If AAEEO doesn’t make a clean sweep with all the actor categories, Directing, and Best Picture… there’s no justice left in the world. My only conflict is who I want to win more for Best Supporting Actress—Stephanie Hsu absolutely gave a HUGE breakout performance and she deserves this recognition, but JLC has a lifetime of work and her role in AAEEO gave it that extra spark to make it masterpiece. And hands down, if Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan don’t win, I will never recover.
