It is totally unfair to give suryakumar chances over Sanju. He has an average over 60 in odis with the limited chances he got. If you are looking at talent there isnโt a lot better than Sanju atm.
And yet again Sanju Samson is left as an afterthought. He has never played 4 consecutive matches for India. He averages 66 in ODI w/ a SR of 104. I think it's fair to criticize the Indian team when more "POPULAR" members of the team get very long ropes (KL and Kishan) but the outsider from Kerala is treated like a failure.
Surya is a great skilled batsman…he can win match single handily…he is like Andrew Symonds of India as he was in 2007 world cup

Justin's idea is spot on. Why bother Surya to bat longer when he has the ability to create an impact as a finisher with a free will
Rinku Singh is better option than Surya in ODIs. Rinku can also play anchor role if needed unlike Surya who knows only one way to score runs. Surya is great option for T20 but maybe not for ODI currently.
Yes, His performace is not good in Odis but he is the only player among top6 batters who can shoot up India's score in Odis.

It will depend on how long Shreyas Iyer is injured. If he is fit he will replace T20 Merchant SKY in ODI XI
Surya should be used as a finisher down at 6/7 just like Pakistan is now using Iftikhar, he should come in during the last 10-15 overs and play his natural game
Surya should definitely get a chance he is a type of player that can win you a world cup
