  1. Dangerous heat wave, record temps, and inadequate power grid can only mean one thing: A Ted Cruz vacation to Cancun is coming up.

  2. God bless TEXAS, a state that has common sense. Just opposite of Dumacrat states

  3. Solar to the rescue it’s keeping the grid going during the day

  4. Has Ted left for Cancun yet?

  5. – All-time highest temperature: 120° F (Seymour 3NW on Aug.12, 1936) That's real temp. What caused it to get so hot back then?

  6. Weather here in Illinois… We are having a drought and it's not good for the crops… Corn and beans expecally! No rain, 90° temps… Not good. Be safe everyone!

  7. Conserve for the conservatives!!! Their self regulation on power tells me their putting money into their pockets and not in the power grid!! I live in bfe Mississippi and our power works great !! Summer and winter!! Way to go Texas

  8. CHEAP SOLUTION! We hung a CHEAP shade tarp on the hottest side. Our house was immediately cooler and my power bill went DOWN.

  9. Damn why don't they run their AC on gasoline?

  10. Abbott keeps inviting Californians here, and illegals. Then tells born citizens they need to compromise for the ones that moved here. That is like knocking on a neighbors door telling them to cut power usage so you can have some. What happened to FIRST COME FIRST SERVED? Subdivisions in Texas should have homes powered by a private solar farm, and cut out the power company. Then use HOA dues to service the private HOA power plant. Power companies want to constantly raise prices. So a HOA with its own power would increase in value as future prices from a monopolized power company continue to rise. The HOA would also have power when everyone else don't. I think Disney World has its own power plant, so you could power a small city with a solar farm. Alamosa County Colorado has its own solar farm in the Rockies, because there is not grid there. Most counties in the Rockies produce their own electricity. They use to use coal power plants.

  11. Heatwave? Climate change. Cold snap? Climate change. Drought? Climate change. Flood? Climate change. Windy? Climate change. Not windy? Climate change. When in doubt, blame everything on climate change.

  12. Maybe tell that to the big corporations in texas, the average person doesn't use that much energy

  13. Where's Ted Cruz? Another vacation in Cancun to escape the consequences of his crazy policies?

  14. You have water. just fill a tub and dip into it with loose clothes on when you feel hot. I hope the animals have access to the river or water.

  15. You can conserve my balls

  16. This is all part of the sixth mass extinction which is well on its way, cause humans .

  17. Too bad they’re not connected to the federal grid

  18. And Texans are saying build a grid that can withstand the heat.
We pay enough in utility bills so that we should have a grid that could withstand 190* temperatures and -80* temperatures.

  19. How’s that deregulated power grid doing Texass
