In my heart I felt this would turn into a retrievable operation, uncertified sub, 5 people, limited 02 supply, vast ocean, it was inevitable. I would like to think their deaths were as close to, if not instant.

The Titanic Tour Operators should have done a dummy run before the live run, based upon the risks and the allegations by the experts 😮
Millions of dollars in assets, manpower and fuel to aid in this rescue. Who is going to pay for it? The company, Oceangate should pay every penny and go broke doing it.
This submersible was not certified to be diving that deep. This was entirely preventable, and I won't be surprised if Oceans Gate gets sued big time. It's amazing how us humans can ignore dangers. Our arrogance in thinking we are above it just blows my mind.

Anyone who understands the properties of an implosion of such a hard composite hull on that submersible won't entertain the possibility of recovery of any intact human remains. The Titanic is a gravesite for about 1500 human remains for a reason. It is just very difficult, especially when human remains will be unrecognizable. Not to even consider the behavior of the marine animals in the area. Perhaps the site should be left sacred, and let the 5 who perished rest in peace.
All of these people were adults. They know the risk and they still choose to go. Noone is responsible for their deaths but fate.
They knew it was gone on Sunday. Yet they chose to present it as a search and recovery mission. One thing this shows is how the Government machine can lead the public anywhere it chooses. Remember this in the future. You'll be much wiser for it.
