So glad I watched this interview and got to know more about his step-father.
John's mother was a beloved award-winning CBS-New York news anchor, Michelle Marsh. Who passed away from breast cancer in 2017.
What a lovely son his is. What an incredible loss this must be for him. My sincerest condolences to him and his family
What experience did he experience. His Dad certainly experienced a life changing experience.

For anyone wondering, no, this is not the stepson that went to a Bink-182 concert. That's Brian Szasz, the stepson of the billionaire Hamish Harding. He basically exploited the tragedy to try to get attention from the band members.

but since he said he was informed in "final days??" & that today was the supposed official discovery of the official outcome I feel news agencies owe viewers [+ the relatives] their vetting process..how/to prove relatives as who they say they are.
and maybe as a random citizen, I'm too concerned but considering all the 'pranks' that have happened when imposters got airtime, I don't think it's too much to ask for.
