The federal criminal trial of former President Trump over his handling of classified documents has been set for August 14. The judge scheduled two weeks for the case. Trump said in an interview with Fox News, “I have every right to have those boxes…this is not a criminal thing.” NBC News’ Garrett Haake has the latest.

I find it suspicious that Judge Cannon issued August 14 as the trial start date, blocking off the remainder of August…. because these are the same dates Fanni Willis in Georgia notified counsel and the courts to reserve for the Georgia Trump interference case. Coincidence? I think not.

That’s good news because when it starts a gag order will be placed against the DAoJ,everyone knows that this Judge was the one who signed the MarLa Go Raid ,so he obviously has an ax to grind ,when the trial starts it will take around a year and a half doing depositions and inquires on the threats to attorney client privilege and violations of law,there will be a huge segment on unequal use of the DOJ and the Clinton sock trial where the judge ruled in favor of Clinton.There is a ton of stuff that happens ,I believe knowing what I see and read on all channels there is reasonable doubt on everything,everyone said in the Fox interview that Trump opened up himself up to more scrutiny, Trump speaks from the heart and truth no matter where it may fall,He will be President anyway .Remember the Biden Impeachment is coming ,Wise was picked by what they call a blue slip by Trump where Democrats request a judgeship and the President says go ahead as a favor,he wasn’t a Trump conservative,next time around they will get no favors .
So it takes over seven years for the justice department to get a plea deal with the smartest man Biden knows, Hunter, but they can get Trump to trial in months.

Suspects have a right to a speedy trial, but if they can delay it, Trump will as he already has with out of state attorneys who aren't licensed in Florida and need to be sponsored. Judge Canon will help with the delay as she did with the special master.

Darth Trump can't Declassify things with his mind like a Jedi, it requires a process. No process took place, no record of what was supposedly declassified exists, markings were not removed, agencies were not notified, and Trump himself said ON TAPE that at least one document in his tiny little hand was still Classified as of July 2021.

I started watching NBC more often than some other networks, in the days following Jan 6th, because of the strikingly different coverage. NBC has some good content. I don't especially like content curated by west africa or ukraine.
It is a date that is nothing more then the deadline for motions to be filed, it is not the date of the trial.
Why does it take two months to set on Trial?
