I don't think some people understand just how isolated abd difficult of a environment it is down there. It's more hostile than space. In space a leak is survivable. Down there, any hull breach is instantly deadly.
Also, depending on how it could have been tangled or stuck it may be impossible to free the sub without shattering its strong but brittle shell.
Sorry but as a guy who grew up diving and a titanic buff I knew they had almost no chance once something went wrong. That's the steaks down there and frankly Mr Eush should have known better.
