  1. A derailment?! That bespeaks very poor maintenance practices. I once worked as a roller coaster operator, and the park where I worked was absolutely bonkers about safety — both host and guest safety (their jargon for "employee" and "visitor"). We had a system that allowed rides to be run only if maintenance had completed both the mechanical and electrical checks overnight, which they had to do every night, not just once in a while. We often found them just completing the checks in the morning when we showed up. Now, a roller coaster not only has wheels running on top of the track, but also "upstop" wheels which engage rails facing downwards underneath the track in cases where there are negative G forces. Most (including the one that I operated) also have "guide wheels" engaging rails facing sideways, rather than flanges on the running wheels as on a conventional train (a kiddie coaster at our park was an exception to this rule). These are there to handle transverse G forces. For a train thus locked into its track a derailment is extraordinary. Something must have gone wrong with at least one set of wheels, which is an inexcusable lapse in maintenance practices. I hope that somebody ends up paying out all his kronor and more for this on some judge's orders. Den som är ansvarig för denna olycka förtjänar inte att leva!

  2. The ride was made by Anton Schwarzkopf, a ride designer who built Mindbender at Galaxyland (derailment in 1986, three dead) and Quimera at La Feria Chapultepec Mágico in Mexico (derailment in 2019, two dead). Both disasters happened very similarly, and it's not off the cards that this happened in similar fashion as well.

  3. The rollercoaster is about 35 years old and no renovation since 2000

  4. probably operator error by one of these culture enrichment people from @fr1ca, who got one of these substituted jobs, payed mostly by tax payers

  5. Ban all amusement parks. Start with Disneyland. People are not safe

  6. FINAL DESTINATION. GOING TO RE-WATCH THAT MOVIE AGAIN.

  7. What a horror show you are playing with fire when you get on those Rollercoasters 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

  8. They could've prevented this accident. But they didn't, which is extremely sad

  9. So sad to hear about this tragic incident. My condolences

  10. As a former swedish servicetechnician in the field mostly hydraulics, electrics and different moving objects it's sad to hear people actually noticed that the equipment didn't do it's intended purpose and there's no doubt someone need to make a proper decision to hear these observers out and make a 'complete' safety inspection. Went one ride with this last year 'June -22'
Condolences to all families traumatized of this accident.

  11. This is a Final Destination type of death.

  12. They probably built the roller coaster using Ikea instructions…

  13. I was there just this year riding jetline all day since there were no lines in off season :/
    terrible accident

  14. I used to take a ride with Jetline. Guys, you know that it was minor issues with the rollercoaster the days before, nor this serious. I am from Sweden living here, and I was so sad reading this news about Gröna Lund.

  15. thought this only happens in the US or China

  16. OMG! Has Greta been notified yet?

  17. And this y I don’t do em

  18. Tänkte åka till gröna lund men efter detta olycka känns det som att man inte äns vill vara där.

  19. Infographic heavy videos need to be labeled as such in the title. People who are blind end up listening to nonsense with no way to translate the text

  20. this is why I always sit in the very front,if something goes awry just take me out,i don't wanna be some mangled up pos for the rest of my life.

  21. Was at a carnival when the GENERATOR quit, Children screaming and crying in the dark, stuck !!

  22. My condolences 💐 but strange things are happening and I’d advise people to stay away from dangerous things and close to home. May god bring comfort and he will because he said it in scripture 🙏🏽👑
