Crap like this still happens. No matter how many times ppl try to convince โitโs safer than driving a carโ is going to comfort me from this fear
I hope she gets arrested for causing this. ๐ข

To give context on how far the nose dropped… Here is a picture I found with an average-height woman is standing next to a Boeing 717. I copied the woman, and placed close to the landing gear. The drop was only a couple of feet. The landing gear doors and of honeycomb construction, with a light weight (usually) plastic cover. The doors are designed to grind down and/or collapse if there is a nose gear failure. The pilots keep the nose up as long as possible, and by the time the nose drops down, the doors will quickly grind down. Textbook nose gear failure landing. This aircraft will get some new parts, and likely up and running fairly quickly. Why were they clapping?. The plane could have blown up after landing?. Do not clap till u get off alive and far away!!!!!
Airports shall have pickup trucks for this kind of emergency
Thank God He protected all onboard this plane whose nose gear did not deploy for landing.
Amazing
Another drama egocentric USA story
Great job
WOW ! CONGRATULATIONS TO SAY THE LEAST !!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Good thing the engines were Tail-mounted, if they were under the wings, they would've been damaged.
this looked like a smoother landing then hlaf the flights ive been on. Props to the pilots!!
Nothing a little WD-40 canโt fix.
And I'm on a Delta flight tomorrow morning. Thanks algorithm. ๐

Only acceptable time to clap upon landing.
Wow what a legend. These are the real mvps.
Kudos to the amazing pilots. I just have an opinion about the term emergency landing. I always thought it should be emergency after landing if the they are landing without nosewheel. Unless, the pilots decide to divert and land when they found out the nosewheel wont deploy during cruise. Which maybe is unnecessary. Like, if you have a flat tire when you are turning into your garage, you dont stop because its an emergency. You are arriving home. But if one of your tires popped while driving along the freeway, then you make an emergency stop.
Scary, but at the same time confidence-inspiring. Shows how there are protocols in place to deal with situations when things go wrong. This is part of the reason why air travel is statistically the safest way to travel. Even after decades of flying, I am always blown away by the miracle of human flight.
so impressive!! Pilots train and train and train for such eventualities, but so few ever have to experience it. Huge kudos to those Pilots and to Delta for training their pilots and cabin crew so well.
Bravo to the pilots!!! job well done!!!! I'll fly with you any day.
Sadly, the news report thanked the pilots but made no mention of who they were. ๐ข
Good work, anyway, flight crew!
While it negelxts the folks who's servers it pulled off of
damn those passenger didnt scream or nothing….
These pilots need to be acknowledged everyday
๐๐๐ to the captains
I hope those pilot get rewarded with an extra bonus.

Planes are designed for this. Pilots are trained for it. That it went smoothly is completely expected and not at all surprising. Yet still we have to make all this unnecessary drama about how scary it was, how amazing it was that it went well and how surprising it is that people can remain calm when handling such things. Just shows how TV, movies and the insanity of social media disconnects people from reality. Always important to get video rather than focus on a potentially life-threatening situation. No point bracing or following directions when there is viral video potential! Need I comment on what viral actually means? Nah…
Lousy Americans… Scared for any little crap that happens…
Jesus angry bin Canada ๐ ๐ฉ๐ฆ
Wonderfulโฆ
Happy ending.
God bless
How long to clear the runway?
THE MEDIA: "IT'S DONALD TRUMPS FAULT."
This is Pilot's Professionalism!
Reminds me of the JetBlue plane that landed with their front wheel turned 90 degrees.
Sensationalism at its best. The nose gear wouldnโt come down. Any ATP rated pilot should be able to handle this.
Amazing how pilots remain so cool calm and collected in situations like this. Job well done to everyone. Glad all are safe.
Thatโs why pilots get paid so much. Thatโs insane that they can do that
Airline pilots do this in the simulator all the time, they think it over in their sleep, with their eyes closed, while eating lunch, working out at the gym, peeing, going at it in the bedroom, etc. They know what they're doing for sure! I'm sure Mr. Hรถrnfeldt (Mentour Pilot) is excited, not about the last example I cite, but about doing a video about this incident FOR SURE! And I hope you all have an "ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC" day!
