The story leaves many questions unanswered: Did the crossing have a warning device, such as flashing lights, bells, automatic gates? Were they functioning or did the truck driver ignore them? Was the truck driver impaired by illness, fatigue, alcohol or narcotics? Could the truck driver easily see the train coming or was the view obstructed? The Mickey Mouse News article includes little factual information from which one might characterize the mishap.
Japan runs a lot more passenger trains than we do. How come they don't have all these accidents?

The GOP cares nothing about killing people, poisoning our waterways, and the othe disasterpus r affects from the derailments but the wealthy executives are raking in tremendous profits from putting we citizens at risk. The GOP is the most dangerous threat the US has ever faced.
