‘We’d learned a few lessons from Headingley’: Cummins | Men’s Ashes 2023

Pat Cummins says Australia had learned valuable lessons from their encounter with Ben Stokes at Leeds in 2019, and were able to use them to their advantage in their Lord’s victory.

  1. every 2 r 3 years later aussies presents something very interesting, i love them but its annoying and anticricket,
    Be humane please,

  2. Bairstow is fat lazy af n u want a recall bunch of cry babies

  3. I love how all the pom reporters are like "can you go back out there and call Jonny back? I don't like the taste of my tears."

  4. Good to see Pat being so decent about the awful treatment his team received today.

  5. Was really tensed when Ben got going. Felt like we learnt nothing from Headingley and were lucky to induce one mishit from him.

  6. Probably bowled too many short balls for Stokes to hit to legside. Gave away a lot of runs. Great innings by Stokes again. Well done Aussies, a great bowler short and sent in on first day, a real fighting win.

  7. What a stupid question asked by the England reporter. How would Australia's test team reputation be effected by the controversy. It will not be Australia's reputation that will be damaged, it is the reputation of the England test team, it's members, and it's supporters that will be remembered for their disgraceful behaviour for years to come.

  8. As an Aussie, I thought we had learned little from the Headingley. When Ben Stokes got going, our tactics were super negative. Placing everyone on the boundary? Our whole strategy was let's hope he mishits one!!!! This was then compounded by ordinary bowling. Short balls right in his hitting zone. We became so negative, that even when Ben Stokes got out, we saw Australia spread the fielders for Stuart Broad. Are you serious!! We were lucky England has a long tail.

  9. Bairstow blew this before today. Dropped catches, byes, missed stumpings…

  10. What australians learn from headingly absolute rubbish !! If so stokes not able to hit so many boundaries…bowling a lots of ball in same zone again and again to stokes….that's absolute stupidity from aussie bowlers…

  11. Whingeing Poms. First time I've said that myself as an English person.

  12. British hypocrisy. Bairstow tried but failed to get Labuschagne out in exactly the same was days earlier.

  13. 1st Test…""Remember 2005, that's all you have to do," Kevin Pietersen on commentary. 2nd Test… "Australia will be remembering Headingly 2019," Michael Atherton… ""I think we are wining the Ashes," WTC 2023.

  14. Champion for a Reason 🏆

  15. Would have been good to see Bairstow and Stokes chase it down.

  16. Bairstow was out—because the umpire gave it out. Pretty simple. And it doesn’t matter what anyone THINKS, it’s already happened. Just like Duckett wasn’t out caught by Starc. Check the scorecard if you’re confused. As it turns out the entire English side is out, not just Barstow.

  17. The Reason Behind Aussies Win is..

    Nothing
    They're The World Champions 🏆🏆🏆
