Big tech has been abusing people’s data rights for over 25 years and the media are making it sound like this is some big new threat. Just know that their greed far outweighs laws or potential punishment whether you pay for a service or not and whether it’s a personal, corporate or government entity’s data. The government regulation will never be able to keep up.
AI is only as good as the dataset it has access to so human intervention will be necessary for many years to come. Whom ever owns the data is sitting on the goldmine hence the reason Musk paid $44B for Twitter which is a treasure trove of global data from 2006 – present.
