Cut the check.
The law was a great watch dog! It keep the court system out of the educational environment. The requirements needed to prove discrimination is high. People minds and heart change overnight! Most student can not afford the education let alone a lawyer to fight a discrimination case. The law is to protect people and it is not for the court to decide which American are protected and which are not. That decision contains a element of bias. Once the student got into the school he still had to met the educational requirement to pass each class. That law did not grant any student any educational favors! That law was created to stop hatred and mistreatment of individuals. The word ethnic would have forced the judges to reconsidered. Color is slang for ethnic makeup!

Problem is, it is about quotas. Quit trying to qualify a question. Even after you do it, you barely get over 50%. Tell the truth and you will see what the real numbers are

The so called Black students are Black Immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean not the Black Descendants of slaves which it was intended for and that is why we should not include all black people in our reparation request because although they hate us they are always taking from us and to think they are the same reason our people and I say our people as Black people who are decedents of slaves are the only ones who qualify for reparations and yes America owes us because we never received or benefited from Affirmative action or any of the programs that were set aside for us in the first place. So these Asians, WW and Africans and Caribbean's are going to be in for a big surprise it actually benefited White people the most. I can't believe I am saying this because I have never liked Clarence Thomas but he actually did us a favor. My Grandmother had a saying that "what the Devil meant for evil God can turn it around for your good" and my Uncle use to say "same color not the same kind and everyone that is skin to you is not kin to you." Africans and Caribbean's come to America and take everything that belongs to us and now it is going to stop and we the Black Americans who are the true descendants of slaves are used to help every immigrant that comes to this country even the Hispanics and they hate us but they owe us because if it were not for the blood, sweat and tears of the True black Americans they would not be receiving what they are and have the nerve to call us lazy.

How did these low test scoring black students manage to Graduate from Harvard? In fact Harvard graduation rate never changed and remain at 99%. Proving that entrance exams are irrelevant to student outcomes 😮

My Dad once took an exam to get a postal job in a small town of 2000 population. He scored the highest of anyone taking the exam, but was not given the job, because he was not black enough. He was white and it didn't matter that he had the highest test score and was the best qualified. It's reverse discrimination based on skin color.

Diversity should be promoted by offering scholarships from the college endowment, but that would actually cost colleges money, and they don't want to put their money where their mouth is. They just want to virtue signal.
Affirmative Action is telling Black people that they're not smart enough or hard working enough to succeed without white people's help.
The percentage of black students in elite universities is one third of the percentage of blacks in the general population. The Roberts court knows perfectly well that their rule will reduce the number of blacks in these schools. If I know anything about Republicans I have to believe that this is what the retrograde court intended.
The crazy thing is that black people are split on this subject while most races are for continuing affirmative action. Some know they were only accepted because they were a different skin shade and not because the uni thinks they are worthy of attending because of their GPA and etc. On the other hand the schools shouldn’t go unchecked because it leads to the uni fully disregarding diversity and robbing all Americans of opportunities.
What if the future scientist to discover the cure to cancer is Latino and he is denied admission to an Ivy League school despite his outstanding accolades? He would be robbed of opportunities to work for companies that would have considered him/her had he graduated from a prestigious school.
US guys are lucky that they have scotus. In India affirmativs actions have quotas. In one state quotas are touching 80% of the available seats and the supreme court of India does not have balls to change it.
This is a great first step in eliminating the ridiculous and antiquated concept of race in the public sphere. Next step—the census.

A nation's Supreme Court must be completely impartial and reflect the overall aspirations and general will of the majority of that nation's people and not enforce the will and views of (in this case) a bigoted minority..!

Here in Australia, judges and magistrates etc are not political appointees and must retire at age 70…
University of California system had to drop affirmation action years ago. UCLA, the nation's top, public academic institution, learned to adapt. Its minority rate is currently what is it was prior to the ban on affirmative action. School administrators know the importance of diversity in higher learning, how everyone benefits. Elite schools will continue to excel and offer opportunities to all who have the love of knowledge.
Kamala Harris was an affirmative action decision too. And look how that turned out.

Here in Ireland high school students are given a number and then they're sent to other schools to get graded to avoid discrimination. then they send the results back to the school. this is the way to do it. nobody knows who you are so nobody discriminates.
