People leaving high school that want to go to a trade school I should have the same grants available to them as people that have had it for college. And that if there is a loan taken out, then it should be given at a very low interest rate to pay back so that it's feasible.
Once apon a time a person didn't need to go to college to learn how many genders there are we learned that in grammar school science or something jeez🤪
Stop the pass every kid in public schools and make kids learn again
So many parents I know have sent their kids to college without a clue what they may want to do with their lives.Taking useless classes and coming out with a 100k in debt and a useless degrees. My parents struggled with 4 kids. I wasn’t going to put them in debt. Took some city exams. Got a job.Retired at 60 while my college buddy’s are still trying to make ends meet. Scott is right. The world needs people that work with their hands.
College is a business. There was a gentleman I heard years ago saying college should be 2 years if they cut out the BS courses that have nothing to do with your degree.
Universities need to lower costs and start using THEIR endowments which are in the $hundred billion
Electricians, mechanics, and trade jobs still need trade schools, and the prices for vocational schools have increased more than 6 times in the past 18 yrs. It costs over $70k for 1 yr of vocational school now

In our day when people didn't have student loans we ate ramien noodles, we ate dried beans and rice we didn't get our college education wearing name brands, circling the globe eating at 5 star restaurants driving New cars and SUVs we lived at home went to a nearby school or in nearby low rent apartments and many times walked to school. College educations through student government loans today are like three or four year elaborate vacations. They are like one big party.
students need to learn real values and patriotism.
